California punk band Bad Cop/Bad Cop have announced their third album, The Ride, which will be released via Fat Wreck Chords on 19 June 2020. Alongside the announcement came the first single from the upcoming record, ‘Simple Girl’. The brand-new song preaches a message of self-love, which, from what we’ve heard, will set the tone for the entire album.
The announcement has generated its fair share of excitement among fans, especially considering the number of albums which have been postponed due to current lockdowns. Bad Cop/Bad Cop have already debuted a few tracks off The Ride on their UK and Europe tour earlier in the year, just before it was cut short as restrictions were placed on social gatherings, and they were all well-received by fans.
If their first two albums are anything to go by, we can look forward to a great album full of pure punk rock – although the band have said that they’ve made a change in tone from their previous angry anthems to a message of positivity and self-love.
Bad Cop/Bad Cop’s The Ride will be available from Fat Wreck Chords on 19 June. Pre-order the album here.
